Shipping
We do everything we can to make sure your chocolate arrives in excellent condition, but we need your help to make sure we have the correct information to properly ship your chocolate. We are only as good as the information you provide. Chocolate can be shipped to warm weather locations (above 70°) via Overnight or 2 Day shipping in an insulated box with ice packs, which is included in our shipping fees. We ship chocolate to the continental US and Alaska. We do not currently ship to Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico or to APO/FPO addresses. Below are our shipping policies and procedures.
 
Warm Weather Shipping
70º or higher at destination or anywhere in between
 
Chocolate that is going to a warm weather destination (70º or higher), must be shipped via Overnight or 2 Day shipping with warm-weather packaging. We cannot be responsible for chocolate shipped to a place where temperatures exceed 70º anywhere along the shipping route if you do not choose to use Overnight or 2 Day Air. This is not a problem to most destinations during the winter months of October through April.
 
Shipping Days and Times
 
  • Ground - We offer Ground shipping during the winter months (October through April) to locations where temperatures are below 70°. All orders shipped via Ground and placed by 6:00 pm Pacific Time Monday through Thursday are shipped the next day. Orders placed Friday through Sunday ship on Monday.
  • 2nd Day Air and Overnight - We also offer 2nd Day and Overnight delivery throughout the year to the continental US, where it's available. Please keep in mind that the shipment date of your order is one business day after you place your order. This means that a 2nd Day Air shipment ordered on Tuesday will ship on Wednesday and arrive on Friday. An overnight shipment ordered on Wednesday will ship on Thursday and arrive on Friday. If you place a 2nd Day Air order on Wednesday it would ship on Monday, arriving Wednesday of the following week. In some cases we may be able to ship your order on the same day you place it, but we can’t make any promises.
"I'm melting, melting"
It would be a shame if your package were well-protected throughout the shipping process, only to be left on the hot doorstep of an empty home. We strongly encourage you to use an address where the package can be properly received and stored, such as an office, in a temperature-controlled and safe environment. We cannot be responsible for any damage or theft that occurs as a result of packages left on doorsteps when no one is home.
 
"But I wasn't expecting a package..."
Surprise gifts are always wonderful and we certainly understand your desire to keep our tasty gifts a secret until delivery. We recommend, however, that you alert the recipient that a package will be arriving so he or she knows to accept delivery of the package. Then your recipient will be sure to say, "Aw, shucks, is that for me?" upon delivery.
 
Multiple Shipping Addresses
If you would like to place an order to be shipped to multiple shipping addresses, please call us at (206) 282-0776 so we can manage the billing and shipping process for you. While our website cannot currently handle multiple shipping addresses for each order, we are happy to handle it via phone and email. Let us make it easier for you!
 
Additional Shipping Fees
Shipping companies charge us for address mistakes and changes. We happily cover mistakes that are our fault. However, any shipping information you provide, if not correct, will result in an additional fee after the order has been processed. If the shipment is not accepted by an unsuspecting recipient, we will also have to pass through the cost charged to us by the shipping companies (see "But I wasn't expecting a package...").
 
Seattle Metro Area Delivery
If you are sending a gift to someone in the Seattle area, car delivery may be a more economical or faster option. This is particularly true when you plan to send more than one gift to the same location. We offer delivery to most neighborhoods in Seattle, and to most of the Eastside. Please give us a call at (206) 282-0776 for delivery availability and pricing. Please note that orders are filled the following day. If you choose delivery by 5:00 pm, your delivery will be made by 5:00 pm the day after your order on Monday through Thursday. You will need to call us at (206) 282-0776 for Saturday delivery pricing and to place an order for Saturday delivery. If you have a last-minute order for same-day delivery, please call us. While we can't promise anything, we will try to accommodate your needs.
 
Holiday Order Deadlines
Make sure to place your order in time for the holidays! Below are the order deadlines for Christmas 2011. In addition to providing FedEx shipping to the continental US, we also offer car delivery service in the greater Seattle area, great for last-minute orders. Orders placed after the dates listed below are not guaranteed to arrive in time for Christmas.
 
Order Deadline for Shipments
All orders must be received by 6:00 pm Pacific Standard Time on the below dates in order to be delivered by Christmas.
 
  • Ground - Thursday, December 15 (Washington State and Oregon shipping deadline is Monday, December 19)
  • FedEx Priority or Standard Overnight - Wednesday, December 22
  • FedEx 2nd Day - Tuesday, December 21
  • Order deadline Seattle Area Delivery Car delivery orders must be placed by 6:00 pm Friday, December 23. These orders will be delivered on Saturday, December 24 and are subject to higher Saturday delivery fees. Please call us at (206) 282-0776 to see if we can accommodate your order to the Seattle area via car delivery.
